A Muldrow teenager was arrested Monday for burglary after allegedly breaking into the drive-thru window at Mazzio's Pizza on South Kerr Boulevard in Sallisaw, Sallisaw Police Chief Gary Philpot said Tuesday.

When Sallisaw police officers responded to an alarm call at 3:27 a.m. Monday at the restaurant, they found the drive-thru window had been broken into. Officers searched the business and found no suspects, but they did find a wallet with personal identification near the entrance of the business, Philpot said. The only thing stolen from Mazzio's was a set of keys to the restaurant.

As a result of the investigation, Aaron Riddle, 19, was arrested for burglary. Riddle is still being held in the Sallisaw City Jail on a $3,000 bond.

Philpot said after the incident at Mazzio's, Sallisaw police also took a report from Caporale's Restaurant, which is located next door to Mazzio's, where suspects destroyed the phone system. Police believe that incident is connected to the Mazzio's burglary.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
