The Muldrow Police Department is investigating a theft of a motorcycle and an incident of vandalism.

Muldrow Police Chief Tony Lewis said a resident on Maple Street reported on Tuesday that a 2006 Ninja motorcycle was stolen from her yard.

The woman reported seeing the motorcycle shortly before midnight Monday, but the next morning the motorcycle was missing.

Lewis said the motorcycle is described as being painted yellow with yellow flames.

In a separate incident Sunday, Lewis said an unknown suspect broke a window on a railroad service vehicle at Baker Street railroad crossing in Muldrow.

A Union Pacific Railroad worker reported the vandalism. Police believe the suspect or suspects used a piece of metal near the tracks to break the window. The damage is estimated at $500.

Lewis pointed out that railroad track is private property and no one is supposed to be on the tracks or on the right of way.

"It's very dangerous," he pointed out.

Those with any information about the stolen motorcycle or the vandalism are urged to call CrimeStoppers at (918) 427-0000. Callers may remain anonymous.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
