Richard Jordan of the Detroit Lions is returning to his hometown of Vian to host his third-annual Celebrity Weekend With The Pros. Some of the celebrities attending will include Reggie Brown (Detroit Lions), Allen Aldridge (Denver Broncos), Hayward Clay (Dallas Cowboys), Albert "Juice" Bland and a host of other pros. Jordan's commitment to the community of Vian is exhibited by his invitation to other pros to attend the event.

The event will kick off on Friday, June 13, at the Vian football field with a "Football Camp With The Pros." All age groups are welcome to come out and improve their game with some tips from the pros. Athletes with their parents are welcome. A cookout for the participants and autographs will follow the camp.

Saturday, June 14, will be a day of golfing at Tenkiller Golf Course. In the morning, the "Golf With The Pros" is a best-ball scramble tournament with mulligans available. It will be limited to 18 foursomes and each foursome will compete for the lowest score over 18 holes. There will be team photos, a longest drive, and closest to the pin contest. Check-in is 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee time. A silent auction featuring sports memorabilia will follow the tournament.

A free carnival for the kids will take place Saturday, June 14, from noon to 3 p.m. on the Vian football field. Jump arounds, bounce arounds, face painting and a dunk tank will be on hand. KEOK Radio in Tahlequah will be broadcasting live from 2-4 p.m.
