OHP makes 28 DUI arrests

During a weekend emphasis by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) in the Tenkiller Lake and Illinois River areas, 28 people were arrested for driving under the influence, the OHP reported.

The OHP also reported the following additional arrests:

- 27 driving under suspension

- 25 drug arrests

- six public intoxication

- one driving while intoxicated

- three warrants

The OHP issued 208 citations were issued, including for speeding, no seatbelt, and transporting an open container.

While many were cited, others were given warnings. The OHP issued 379 warnings for violations such as improper lane change, speeding, and insurance violations.
