Mike Henson of Sallisaw, concert host and master of ceremonies, said some of the bands to be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. June 24 and 25 include Gold Rush Bluegrass Company, Daisy Street Station, Black River Mountain Boys, Backdoor Cloghoppers and others to be announced later.
There will also be special appearances by the Minnie Pearl Show and Soggy Bottom Washtub Band.
From 2 to 4 p.m. June 26, a youth showcase for players and singers up to 21 years old, with or without a band, will be featured. Featured artists will be limited to three songs, and the showcase is limited to the first 10 to sign up. Contact concert director, Rob Mize of Ramblin' Rob's Music Store, at 214 E. Workshops will also be held June 24 and 25 for $10 per person. The class minimum is 10 people, and the class maximum is 25.
Admission to the festival is free. The park will open June 19, and on-site camping is available. Dry row camping is $5 per day and limited electric sites at $7 per day.
Festival organizers urge attendees to bring their own chairs to the three-day event. The park is handicapped accessible, with a children's play area, on-site security, and concessions. Door prizes will also be given away June 24 and 25. No alcohol or drugs are allowed.
There will also be an on-site Dust Bowl Roots Gospel and Country Music Museum featuring instruments and artists. Admission to the museum is free.
