The camps are free and open to both boys and girls ages 9 to12 who reside in the 14-county jurisdictional boundary of the Cherokee Nation.
"Activities will include certain events such as daily swimming, traditional games such as marbles and stickball, horseback riding, canoeing and rock climbing," Bunner Gray, public health educator for Healthy Nation, said.
They will also learn about diabetes, nutrition, the importance of physical activity, and experience a variety of teambuilding games."
