A Sallisaw man was shot and killed by his ex-wife early Friday morning after allegedly breaking into her home and attacking the woman and her boyfriend with a baseball bat.

Sallisaw Police Chief Shaloa Edwards said that the man, Robert Wolfe, 49, broke into his ex-wife's home, located in the 600 block of Zulkey Street in Sallisaw, at about 1:35 a.m., knocking glass out of the back door. The 33-year-old woman, Kimberly Wolfe, and her boyfriend, Tim Sizemore, were asleep in bed when the break-in occurred. Robert Wolfe, who had a bat, allegedly started beating Sizemore with the bat and hit Kimberly Wolfe, Edwards said.

Kimberly Wolfe ended up retrieving a 9 mm gun and shooting her ex-husband.

"It was a pretty bad deal," Edwards said.

Edwards said the divorced couple had been in a long dispute, and the woman had protective orders against him.

Kimberly Wolfe has not been arrested, and Edwards said the initial investigation is that she shot him in self-defense.

"He (the ex-husband) intended to kill her, I think," he said.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene and are conducting an investigation, Edwards said.

A complete news report about the shooting will be in the next edition of Your TIMES.
