All-State Football Adds 2 County Players

Two football players from Sequoyah County have been added to the roster for the upcoming OCA/Southwest Orthopedics All-State Game.

Mitch Oliver of Sallisaw and Pat Crowder of Vian were late additions to East squad, which takes on the West at 8 p.m. Friday. The game will be played at Union Tuttle Stadium, located at 6636 S. Mingo Road.

Oliver, a linebacker, was the leading tackler for the Black Diamonds and was an All-District 4A-4 selection. Crowder was named District A-7 Offensive Lineman of the Year after helping the Wolverines win the league title.

Several players dropped out of the All-State Game over the weekend, including Tulsa Washington's Felix Jones, Jenks' Zach Casey, Clinton's Joey Moore, Altus' Devon Davis, Owasso's Kenton Stephens, Tulsa East Central's Jeremy Vinson, Stillwater's Ryan Pittman and Lawton Eisenhower's Dominique Green.
