Robert Anthony English was charged June 13 with second-degree burglary in connection with the June 12 burglary.
According to court records, Sequoyah County Sheriff's Deputy Robert Gude was dispatched to the rodeo grounds at about 10 a.m. June 12 after a report was made that the rodeo grounds office had been broken into.
Gude reported a rodeo employee told him that someone had kicked in the west door of the office and had stolen 30-packs of beer.
At about 12:30 p.m. Gude received information that English and another juvenile admitted at a party in Roland that they stole the beer from Garrison Creek.
Initially English denied being at the party, but then later told Gude that he stopped by the party for 10 minutes, according to Gude's report.
Another witness allegedly confirmed that English and the juvenile took the beer and was with the duo on the night that the beer was stolen. The witness told police that they pulled into Garrison Creek Rodeo grounds because one of the suspects needed to use the bathroom. English and the juvenile got out of the car and the witness heard them trying to kick the door in. Shortly after, the two came running out with three 30-packs of beer, according to court records.
