Partington will be given the opportunity to participate in the Thinking for a Change drug rehabilitation program while serving her sentence.
Charges stem from a traffic stop on Interstate 40 by the Roland Police Department. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered over 400 grams of methamphetamine.
Partington was arrested with two other Arkansas residents during the traffic stop.
Roland police reported that Officers Jerry Foley and David Goode stopped a speeding vehicle on the interstate at about 4:20 p.m. June 5. They reported the vehicle was traveling 77 miles per hour in a 70-mile-per-hour-zone.
While searching the vehicle the officers found seven plastic bags containing white substances in chip form; a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana; packaging materials, scales, and a smoking device containing a burned residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found were scales and two smoking pipes. The total weight of the methamphetamine was about one pound and eight ounces.
Partington and the two other occupants of the vehicle were arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Jail where bond was set at $75,000 for each suspect.
