I am going to talk about an issue that has been ignored long enough. The "unlawful" dumping of animals on county roads.
We are getting together and taking down tag numbers and vehicle descriptions as well as the descriptions of the individuals in the vehicles that dump these poor animals and most likely tell there children that "the people out in the country will take care of it". Wrong wrong wrong!
Those poor animals are usually given one of the worst ways to die that you can imagine. Starvation, dehydration, or shot. That little dog, cat or puppy or kitten only knows you just left and is wondering where the little girls and boys are that love it so much or where their owners are that came and got them wanting them so badly with the remark, "oh yes we will take really good care of it." Good job! We will also start taking down tags of the cheapskates that dump their garbage on our streets instead of taking their unwanted furniture or garbage to the dump just another mile or so down the road.
But the victims here are the poor defenseless animals that are wondering where their owners could possibly have gone. Another problem you see, most of you pathetic people that do this come from the city of Sallisaw and can take your unwanted animals to the city pound and at least give them a chance at a "good" home and owner they deserve. We out here in the country cannot take them to the city pound because we live outside city limits. Think on these things the next time you choose to come to our neighborhood and dump those poor animals, we are watching you and will gladly deliver your description and your offense to our county sheriff. Wonder how you will feel then. You never know where a video camera is going to show up!
