Funeral services for Patsy Walters West, 73, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Vian with the Revs. T.D. Drew and Garry Brown officiating.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Mrs. West was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Vian, to James "Columbus" Walters and "Okla" Jewel Orene (Qualls) Walters. She died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Vian.

Mrs. West was a homemaker and cook. She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Faye Walters of Sallisaw and Daniel and Valarie Walters of Vian; two step-daughters, Brenda Stewart and Linda Walters both of Vian; six grandchildren, Lakisha, Ricky, Brandon, D.J., Kila and Sean Gregory Walters; three great-grandchildren, Shanessiea, Kera and Colby Walters; four sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Ruby Pigeon both of Vian, Dolly Poteete of Warner and Brenda Stem of Barling, Ark.; and three brothers, Jim, Edward and Don Walters all of Vian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-son, Bobby Holcomb and two brothers, John and Melvin Walters.

Pallbearers were D.J. Walters, Rick Walters Jr., Brandon Walters, James Walters, Ethan Glass and Blain Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers were Jack, Preston and Jackie Dale Poteete, Dale and Shannon Walters, Willard and Justin Wilson and Raymond Pigeon.
