A Muldrow man was sentenced last week to 10 days in the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw for poaching a deer, Kyle Waters, Sequoyah County assistant district attorney, said.

Robert G. Jackson, 63, was fined $500 and also lost his gun for possession of the illegal deer. As of Sept. 15, he had served seven of his 10-day sentence.

An area game warden caught Jackson with the illegal deer, Waters said.
