Eight suspects were arrested Friday in a cooperative drug investigation between the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, the Sallisaw Police Department and the District 27 District Attorney’s Drug Task Force.
Arrested on various drug charges were Polly Mullinax, age unavailable, Darrell Wayne Johnson, 45, Janesse Lynelle Thomas, 36, Johnathon Issac Smith, 22, Rikki Jo Sanders, 29, Jimmy David Harden, 55, Allen Roy Enloe, 23, and Diana McClure, 50.
A spokesman for the task force said the three police agencies teamed up for the warrant sweep of five residences in the county on Friday morning.
The first search warrant was served at the resident of Polly Mullinax in Sallisaw.
During the search officers reported finding substances that appeared to be methamphetamine and marijuana, along with paraphernalia commonly used with controlled dangerous substances.
Mullinax was arrested and her bond set at $15,000. Jail records indicated Mullinax was previously convicted of a felony.
The second search warrant was also served at a residence locate in Sallisaw. During the search officers reported finding substances appearing to be methamphetamine along with items of paraphernalia commonly associated with the distribution and use of controlled dangerous substances. Officers also noted that the items were found in a hidden compartment, a practice commonly used by persons involved in the illegal distribution and use of controlled dangerous substances. No one was at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed but, pending further investigation, arrest warrants for the occupants of the residence are expected in the future, the investigators reported.
The third and fourth search warrants were then executed simultaneously due to their possible association. These two search warrants were executed on the residence of Darrell Wayne Johnson, 45, and the residence of Janesse Lynelle Thomas, 36, both north of Sallisaw.
During the search at Johnson’s residence, officers reported finding substances appearing to be methamphetamine and substances appearing to be marijuana along with paraphernalia commonly associated with the distribution and use of controlled dangerous substances. Officers at the scene also reported finding an undisclosed amount of cash during the search process.
Officers reported that while in the process of executing the search warrant on Johnson’s residence they intercepted a call warning that law enforcement was headed in the direction of the residence. A short time later the officers at the home intercepted a second call to the residence from the same caller in which the caller was checking the status of the investigation. The officer speaking with the caller, who was unaware they were speaking with law enforcement, was able to identify the caller and, at that time, the officer informed the caller that paperwork would be submitted requesting a warrant for their arrest. Officers noted that a person warning a drug distributor is acting as a lookout and is therefore involved in the conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. In addition, officers reported they are also interfering in a police investigation, which may result in another possible charge.
Johnson and Thomas were arrested as a result of the investigation at Johnson’s residence. Johnson was booked into the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled drug without a valid prescription, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jail records indicate that Johnson was previously convicted of a felony. He was released on a $75,000 bond.
Thomas was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled drug without a valid prescription, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $16,500 bond in relation to the investigation at Johnson’s residence. Thomas was also booked on charges stemming from the search warrant executed at her residence. In relation to the search warrant at her residence, Thomas was booked on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, maintaining a residence where controlled dangerous substances are kept, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on an $11,500 bond in relation the investigation at her residence.
During the search process at Thomas’ residence, officers reported finding substances appearing to methamphetamine and substances appearing to be marijuana, along with items of paraphernalia commonly associated with the use of controlled dangerous substances.
Also arrested as a result of the investigation at Thomas’ residence were Johnathan Issac Smith of Sallisaw and Rikki Jo Sanders of Vian.
Smith, 22, was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $5,500 and, at the time of the press release, he remains in custody.
Sanders, 29, was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
The fifth and final search warrant of the day was at the residence of Jimmy David Harden, 55, south of Sallisaw.
During the search process at Harden’s residence officers reported finding substances appearing to be methamphetamine and substances appearing to be marijuana, along with items of paraphernalia commonly associated with the distribution and use of controlled dangerous substances. Officers noted that the controlled dangerous substances were found in a hidden compartment. Officers at the scene also reported finding firearms, as well as recovering a stolen motorcycle, during the search. Officers noted that it is common to find evidence of other crimes, such as stolen property, in the course of drug investigations.
Arrested were Harden and Allen Roy Enloe, 23, of Sallisaw.
Harden was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a controlled drug without a valid prescription, being a felon in possession of a firearm, knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jail records indicate that Harden was previously convicted of a felony. He was released on a $50,000 bond.
Enloe was booked into the county jail on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $6,500. Jail records indicate that Enloe is also being held on two outstanding warrants.
While in the process of executing the search warrant, officers intercepted a call to the residence in which the caller, unaware they were speaking with law enforcement, asks permission to come to the residence to buy controlled dangerous substances. The officer speaking with the caller was able to obtain particular identifiers and, a short time later, a person matching the description of the caller arrived at the residence.
Officers found the subject, identified as Diana McClure of Spiro, to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
McClure, 50, was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail where she was booked on a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
A spokesman for the District 27 Drug Task Force reported that area law enforcement agencies have well-trained, energetic officers who aggressively pursue distributors of controlled dangerous substances in Sequoyah County. Many times these officers even receive assistance in their pursuit of these distributors from watchful concerned citizens who want to see the county remain a safe place for their families, and such community involvement and cooperative efforts. made Friday’s efforts a success.
