A burglary was reported at 11:50 p.m. July 23 north of Roland in Liberty. The owners reported cash and checks were stolen. The value of the stolen property is estimated at $1,500.
A theft of property was reported at 10 p.m. July 24 in Sequoyah County on the west side of Lake Tenkiller. A wallet, identification cards, bank cards, $5 cash and other papers were stolen.
An arrest was made at 4:30 p.m. on July 23 on U.S. Highway 59 north of Sallisaw. Joey Lee Risenhoover, 18, of Sallisaw was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
A stolen vehicle was reported at 10:24 a.m. on July 9 at Wildhorse Estates. The owners reported a 1993 Mitsubishi was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered.
A case of child abuse was reported at 1 p.m. on July 6 in the Vian area. Assistance was given to the Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division.
Domestic abuse in the presence of a minor child was reported at 3 p.m. July 5 in the Slab Hollar area near Roland. The victim's jaw was broken. A warrant for the suspect has been requested.
Incest was reported on July 3. The alleged incest took place May 1 through June 30 in the Muldrow area.
A rape was reported on June 29 by a 15-year-old juvenile in the Muldrow area. The alleged rape occurred March through May.
An accident was reported at 12:20 p.m. July 20 on a train bridge in the Sallisaw area. The victim was reportedly drunk and fell off of a bridge. The 34-year-old victim was transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
A warrant was served at 11:20 a.m. July 9 at the Sequoyah County Courthouse. Eric Hayes Morgan, 34, of Muldrow was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of theft of public utility.
An arrest was made at 11 p.m. July 14 on Interstate 40 near Roland. Angela Rene Buchanan, 39, of Dumas, Texas, was arrested for possession of marijuana. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop for no headlight.
An arrest was made at 11:45 p.m. July 15 on U.S. Highway 59 south of Sallisaw. Robert William Sparks, 20, of Sallisaw was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and public intoxication.
Timothy Perkins, 52, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was arrested July 15 on Interstate 40 between Gore and Vian. Perkins was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, felony eluding, and reckless endangerment. The suspect was traveling over 100 miles per hour eastbound in the westbound lane of traffic, when he allegedly crossed the center median and was struck by another vehicle.
A burglary was reported at 9 a.m. July 16 in Paw Paw Bottoms near Roland. The owners reported that a chainsaw, jumper cables, and tools were stolen from a shop building. The value of the stolen property is estimated at $2,150.
A warrant was served at 6:59 p.m. July 16 in Wild Horse Estates in Sallisaw. Clinton Eugene Daniels, 24, of Sallisaw was arrested for alleged larceny of an automobile and knowingly concealing stolen property.
A search warrant was served at 6 p.m. July 14 at a home located in the 500 block of Beverly Drive in Vian. Victor Lamonte Williams, 53, and Bethany Ruth Scrivner, 35, both of Vian, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of controlled dangerous substance without valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of blank prescription forms.
A report was taken from Akins Grocery store at 7:44 p.m. on July 7 about a fraudulent check. The check was written on a non-existent bank. The amount of loss was $212.87.
A break-in was reported at 6 a.m. July 7 at the B & J Restaurant in Gore. The front door glass was broken. The owner reported no items were taken.
A domestic dispute was reported at 3 p.m. July 9 in Muldrow. The victim, a 75-year-old female, reported a hip and left shoulder injury. A warrant was requested for the suspect's arrest.
A sex crime was reported on July 19 in the Vian area. The alleged crime took place from May 19 through July 19. The victims were a three-year-old female and a seven-year-old male. A warrant is pending for the juvenile offender.
The theft of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was reported at 5:30 p.m. July 20 east of the Vian area. The estimated value of the ATV is $10,000.
A break-in was reported on July 16 in the Jimmy Rogers Addition on State Highway 100. The victim reported 20 to 30 cans of soda, size 13 tennis shoes, a weedeater, and a can of gas were stolen. The window was also vandalized. The estimated cost of the stolen items and vandalism is $250.
A domestic dispute was reported at 3:10 p.m. July 12 in Gans. The 20-year-old female victim reported head injuries. A warrant was requested for the suspect's arrest.
On July 15, Keary Hauer, 36, of Gore was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and transporting an open container.
A larceny from a building was reported at 2 p.m. July 6. A gun, televisions, a lawn mower, VCR, and mattress were reported stolen. The estimated cost of stolen items is $1,220.
A larceny was reported on July 20 north of Roland. The items stolen were empty cans (recyclables). The estimated cost of the stolen items is $70.
A burglary was reported in the Gore area. The burglary took place sometime on July 18 or 19. The owner reported knives and medicine were taken. The estimated value of the stolen items is $500.
A fire was reported at 5 a.m. July 16 on Bawcom Road north of Muldrow. A trailer was on fire. There were two victims inside, a 63-year-old male and a 49-year-old male. The fire was investigated by the Sequoyah County Sheriff's office and the State Fire Marshal's office.
An enforcement of a court order was performed on July 18 in the Vian area. Two minor children were removed from their mother and given to their father.
A mailbox was reported stolen on July 13 west of Vian. The owner reported there was mail in the box. A book on tape was reported stolen.
A gas drive off was reported on July 12 from the B&J Quik Stop southwest of Braggs, in which $38.64 in gas was stolen. It was reported the vehicle was a silver Nissan or Toyota.
A kayak was reported stolen from the Illinois River area on July 13. The estimated value of the kayak is $1,000.
A vehicle fire was reported at 11 p.m. July 13 at the Driftwood Bar south of Sallisaw. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's office.
A forged check was reported on July 13 at BJ's Quik Stop in Braggs. The check was cashed on March 31. An arrest warrant was requested for the suspect.
A grand larceny was reported at 2:45 p.m. July 25 in rural Sallisaw. The victim reported that a backhoe trailer, air compressor and concrete saw were stolen. The estimated value of the stolen items is $5,300. The items had been missing for about two weeks.
An assault was reported at 1 p.m. July 24 at the Hollis Trailer Park in Roland. The victim reported the incident had occurred between midnight July 16 and 1 a.m. July 17. A club and hammer were reportedly used during the assault.
Illegal drugs were turned into the sheriff's office at 10:40 a.m. July 4. They were found in rural Sallisaw.
A drug lab was discovered near Brushy church at 8:30 p.m. July 20. The investigation is ongoing.
A larceny from a residence was reported at 8:37 p.m. July 24 in rural Sallisaw. A trailer was taken. The value of the item is estimated at $200.
The vandalism of a fence southwest of Sallisaw City Dam was reported on July 7. The loss is estimated at $500.
A dog attack was reported at 2:45 a.m. July 13 in the Kerr Lake area. A Boston terrier was injured when two pit bull terriers attacked it. The owners of the pit bulls were cited for allowing vicious animals to run at large.
A public intoxication arrest was made at 9:35 p.m. July 19 west of Vian. Danny Lee King, 53, of Sallisaw was arrested.
A sex crime was reported in Gans. The alleged incidents occurred between June 1 and June 28. The victim was a 13-year-old female. A warrant was requested for the suspect's arrest for alleged indecent acts or proposals to a child.
