Funeral services for William Eugene Walker, Sr., 66, of Pocola, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola with Rev. Richard Maness officiating.

Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Pocola.

Mr. Walker was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Ernest and Marie (Yarberro) Walker. He died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, in Fort Smith.

Mr. Walker worked at AOG for 40 plus years and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; two children, William Walker, Jr. of Owasso and Teresa Eliason of Fayetteville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Courtney Martindale, Taylor Martindale, John Walker and Kelsey Walker; two sisters, Patsy Ross and Hazel Tripp both of Fort Smith; six brothers, Donald Walker of Roland, Carol Walker of Phoenix, Ariz., Charles Walker of Van Buren, Ark., Marvin Walker of Chester, Ark., and Raymond Walker and Randy Walker both of Fort Smith; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Norman Walker.

Pallbearers were Mike Pope, Jerry Sebo, Joey Love, Bob Marchant, Doug Yates and Gary Moore.
