CASC Sallisaw begins Wednesday

The fall semester is quickly approaching at Carl Albert State College (CASC) in Sallisaw.

Classes will begin on Aug. 15, with enrollment, book charges and financial aid dates preceding.

Enrollment for the fall semester at the Sallisaw campus will begin Thursday and continue through Aug. 28.

Academic advisors will be on hand throughout the enrollment period. Enrollment will begin at 8 a.m. and continue through 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. This will be open to all students planning to attend the fall semester. Enrollment will be open from 1 until 4:30 p.m. Aug. 13 to 28. The CASC Sallisaw Campus is closed at 3 p.m. on Fridays.

Book charges will begin Aug. 6 at the Sallisaw campus. Anyone who has completed their financial aid file and has returned an award letter to the Financial Aid Office can check their eligibility to charge with the bookstore.

Anyone who has not completed their financial aid file or returned an award letter will not be able to charge their books.

A financial aid advisor is on hand to assist students who have not completed filing their information. Students are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office prior to enrollment to check on their status.

The Sallisaw campus is also looking for adjunct instructors for the fall semester. The campus is in need of qualified instructors in the science and English departments, but all subject areas are welcome. Science instructors for 8 to 12 daytime course hours in zoology and general physical science and evening English instructors for three to six course hours in compensatory English are needed.
