The Muldrow Police Department is offering a small reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who burglarized a local business twice in two weeks.

Muldrow Police Chief Tony Lewis said Pat's Food Store on the corner of U.S. Highway 64 and Fargo in Muldrow was the target of burglars on two occasions, the latest of which occurred Sunday.

The first burglary occurred on the night of July 12 when a male entered the store through the front by breaking the glass. The burglar stole cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

The second burglary occurred Sunday night when two males broke into the store the same way as the July 12 incident, but this time the store's alarm didn't sound.

"They made a couple of entries that night," Lewis said, noting that the men stole between $600 and $700 in merchandise, including beer and tobacco products.

In both instances, video surveillance caught the men, who wore masks, on tape. Lewis believes that the two burglaries are linked.

"We believe we may have them identified from physical evidence left at the scene," Lewis said. Anyone with any information is urged to call the department's CrimeStoppers hotline at (918) 427-0000. He said the department is offering a small reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
