Webbers Falls takes its four-game winning streak to Craig County Thursday night as the Warriors take on White Oak in a District C-4 contest.

Kickoff at Wickliffe Field in White Oak, which is located about six miles west of Vinita on State Highway 66, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

White Oak is 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the league after the Ranchers defeated Arkoma 32-16 last week.

"White Oak is better than last year," Webbers Falls head coach Tom Butler said. "They have more kids out (about 18) and their coach (David Bowen) said they were enthused about playing. They have won a couple of games and they are a young bunch with a new coach."

White Oak did not win a game in 2004 and Webbers Falls beat them 58-8 in their meeting.

Some of the Ranchers' key players are junior running back Skyler Parmeter, linebackers Daniel Griffin (6-foot-1, 170 pounds) and Rashad LeFlore (5-8, 180), offensive lineman Robert Reed (5-10, 215), quarterback Kyle Sprague (5-9, 205) and nose guard Levi Boren (6-0, 190).

Parmeter has scored 10 touchdowns this season.

"They'll run a 4-1 on defense and jump to a 3-2 every once in a while," said Butler. "They like to blitz their linebackers, especially close to the goal line, and we have to be ready for that.

"We'll be pretty basic on offense and stick to sweeps and power and keep it on the ground," said Butler. "We'll also work on our passing game a little bit this week."

Butler said he sees similarities in his offense and the Ranchers' offense.

"They'll line up in double-tight and also run some I-(formation) and some offset-I," remarked Butler. "The quarterback sweep is their favorite play and they run it a lot.

"Our defense is playing real well. We have been giving up a lot of field position on kickoff returns, but we did better last week. Derek Dandridge is now doing the kickoffs, and he gives us a good safety back there."

The Warriors are 4-2 for the season and 3-1 in the district after stopping Sasakwa 52-30 last Friday.
