Taylor had six TDs in all, beginning with a 94-yard kickoff return in the first quarter. He caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Tyren Samuels, added a 16-yard TD run and, on the final play of the half, went the final 32 yards on a hook-and-lateral to hand the Wolverines a 28-21 lead.
Taylor scored again on a three-yard run late in the third period before intercepting a Sequoyah pass and running it back for Vian's final score of the night.
The Wolverines improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in District 2A-8 while dropping Sequoyah to 3-1 and 0-1.
Gore 35, Pocola 14
POCOLA - T.J. Baker ran for 198 yards as the Gore Pirates rallied from a 14-0 deficit to blow out the Indians on Friday night in District A-6 play.
Baker scored on runs of 22 and 75 yards, while sophomore quarterback Logan Andrews added a 71-yard run, a 38-yard interception return and a nine-yard pass to Ethan James for additional touchdowns.
Gore is now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the district, while Pocola fell to 2-1.
Broken Bow 28, Sallisaw 27 (2OT)
BROKEN BOW - Trey Lee's extra point kick was the difference as Broken Bow edged Sallisaw in double overtime on Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
Sallisaw had taken a 27-21 lead in the second overtime period on Matt Mitchell's three-yard touchdown run, but the Black Diamonds' extra point kick was blocked.
Broken Bow pulled even on a 10-yard run by Mitchell Manning and Lee kicked the point-after to hand Sallisaw its first loss of the season.
The Diamonds slipped to 3-1 overall and 0-1 in District 4A-4 while Broken Bow moved to 4-0 and 1-0.
Mitchell ran for two TDs for Sallisaw and David Hadley returned a kickoff 83 yards for a score and caught a 10-yard TD pass from Matt Oberste in the first overtime period.
Manning had three of the Savages' touchdowns, including a 90-yard run in the second quarter.
Central 41, Haileyville 0
HAILEYVILLE - The Tigers stayed undefeated on Friday night with a 41-0 rout of Haileyville at G.G. Gibson Stadium.
Central improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in District A-6 ahead of big game Friday night at home against Talihina.
Wagoner 14, Muldrow 13
WAGONER - Gus Jones ran for 130 yards and both Wagoner touchdowns on Friday as Wagoner handed Muldrow its first loss of the season in the District 4A-4 opener both teams.
Wagoner rallied from a 7-0 halftime deficit to take a 14-7 lead, but Muldrow responded with a late touchdown to pull within a point. Muldrow went for two, but the officials ruled the conversion pass was incomplete and Wagoner escaped with the victory.
Muldrow is now 3-1 and 0-1, while Wagoner moved to 2-2 and 1-0.
Roland 14, Idabel 6
IDABEL - The Rangers won their third-straight game on Friday in the District 3A-4 opener for both teams.
Roland, which is now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the league, got going offensively with a 25-yard touchdown pass from Drew Roberts to Cory Freeman late in the third quarter.
Gans 12, Watts 6
GANS - The Grizzlies scored a pair of second-half touchdowns to rally past Watts on Friday night and even their record at 2-2.
Gans moved to 2-1 in District B-4 play while dropping Watts to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Maud 34, Webbers Falls 20
MAUD - The Warriors' two-game winning streak was snapped on Friday night with a District C-4 loss at Maud.
Webbers Falls quarterback Chad Dandridge tossed touchdown passes of eight yards to Mitchell Carman and two yards to Kile Turley and the Warriors also got an eight-yard touchdown run from Hunter Hume while slipping to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.
