STILWELL - Brad Drain's field goal was the difference on Friday night as Stilwell posted a 10-7 win over Sallisaw to beat the Black Diamonds for the first time since 1977.

Drain's kick put Stilwell up 10-0 in the third quarter, but Sallisaw quarterback Matt Oberste and receiver Dalton Lessley connected for a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to get Sallisaw on the scoreboard.

Sallisaw had another drive going late in the game. However, a long pass play resulted in a fumble and Stilwell recovered at its own one-yard line and was able to run out the clock.

Stilwell is now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 4A-4. Sallisaw slips to 1-4 and 0-2 ahead of Friday's game at Fort Gibson.

Gore 27, Talihina 21 (2OT)

GORE - The Pirates scored touchdowns on both of their possessions in overtime to knock off Talihina on Friday night at K.G. Horn Stadium.

The Pirates took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter as Talon Bell went 76 yards with a screen pass from Trace Kizzia and Jacob Elyassin ran for a 53-yard touchdown. Talihina pulled within 14-7 by halftime before tying the game in the second half.

Gore is now 3-2 overall and 3-1 in District A-8. The Pirates will travel to Lincoln Christian next Friday for a non-district game. Talihina dropped to 1-4 and 0-3.

Muldrow 33, Checotah 17

CHECOTAH - The Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday night with a 33-17 win at Checotah in District 3A-4 action.

Muldrow improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the league, while Checotah fell to 1-4 and 1-1. Muldrow will travel to Roland on Friday night.

Victory Christian 14, Roland 6

TULSA - Victory Christian took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and then held off Roland to claim a District 3A-4 victory on Friday night.

The Conquerors used a fake field goal and a touchdown pass to grab an early 14-0 lead, but Roland quarterback Drew Roberts tossed an eight-yard touchdown pass to Travon Hudson to get the Rangers within 14-6 in the second quarter.

The Rangers had a chance to possibly pull even late in the game when they had a first-and-goal situation from the three-yard line. However, Roland was backed up and, on fourth-and-goal from the 13, Roberts scrambled for 11 yards before being tackled at the two.

Victory Christian is now 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the district while Roland dropped to 2-3 and 1-1. The Rangers will host Muldrow on Friday night.
