The bond, if approved, will be for five years at an interest rate not to exceed 10 percent.
Kathy Webb, Sequoyah County Election Board Secretary, said voters who want to vote by absentee ballot have missed the mail deadline for Tuesday's election, but may still cast their ballots early.
Webb said early voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the election board office in the Sequoyah County Courthouse in Sallisaw.
"In-person absentee voters fill out an application form when they get to the office," Webb said. "They are not required to give a reason for voting absentee. They are required to swear that they have not voted a regular mail absentee ballot and that they will not vote at their polling places on election day."
A two-person Absentee Voting Board is on duty each day to assist absentee voters. Webb said the board verifies the voter's registration information then issues the voter's ballots. The voter marks the ballots in a voting booth and puts them in the voting device.
"It is very much like voting at a precinct polling place," Webb said._
On Tuesday, polls will be open at the following locations for the school bond vote:
-101 - Muldrow Fire Department
-104 - Waylon Jones Complex in Roland
-105 - Roland Nutrition Center
-106 - Liberty School
-310 - Nicut Fire Department
