The Black Diamond defense recorded its second shutout of the season on Friday night as Sallisaw blanked Idabel 10-0 in a District 4A-4 contest at Perry F. Lattimore Stadium.
Sallisaw scored all of its points before halftime, as Kyle Stewart ran for a 15-yard touchdown and Carlos Nieto kicked a 31-yard field goal.
The Diamonds remained in the hunt for a home-field playoff game as they improved to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the district. Idabel dropped to 5-4 and 3-3.
Vian 51, Savanna 20
SAVANNA - Miguel Pratt ran wild for the Wolverines as they trounced Savanna on Friday night.
Pratt carried the ball 17 times for 283 yards and scored on runs of 45, 10, 67, eight and 85 yards-all before halftime-as Vian grabbed a 42-20 lead by the break. The senior added a 31-yard punt return for his sixth touchdown of the night in the third quarter.
Vian also got a 27-yard TD pass from Tyren Samuels to Brandon Barrett while pushing its record to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in District 2A-6. Savanna is now 3-6 and 2-4.
Muldrow 31, Kellyville 12
KELLYVILLE - The Bulldogs clinched at least second place in District 3A-4 and kept their championship hopes alive with a win at Kellyville on Friday night.
Muldrow's fifth win in a row makes the Bulldogs 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the district. League-leader Victory Christian lost to Seminole on Friday, so Muldrow will be the 3A-4 champion if the Bulldogs can beat Seminole and Victory loses at Bristow in the final regular season game.
Roland 27, Hugo 12
HUGO - The Rangers returned two interceptions for touchdowns to keep their playoff hopes alive with a District 3A-4 victory over Hugo Friday night at Gene Nesbit Stadium.
Drew Roberts went 58 yards with an interception and Travon Hudson returned another six yards to put the Rangers in front. Roberts added a 31-yard touchdown pass to Teven Thompson to give Roland a 19-6 halftime lead.
Hugo closed within 19-12 in the second half, but Thompson sealed the win with a seven-yard touchdown run as Roland moved to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the league. Hugo fell to 3-6 and 2-4.
Pocola 35, Central 7
Central hung tough for the first half, but Pocola scored three touchdowns to pull away after the break in a District A-8 game Friday night at Tiger Field.
The Tigers had the game tied at 7-7 when Brenden Gentry caught a short touchdown pass from J Johnson in the second quarter. Pocola quarterback Maverick Lang scored on fourth-and-goal from the Central one later in the half to hand the visitors a 13-7 halftime lead.
Pocola went on to push its record to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the district, while Central fell to 5-4 and 3-4.
Gans 50, Watts 20
GANS - The Grizzlies kept on rolling Friday night, picking up their fifth-straight victory with a rout of Watts.
Gans is now 7-2 overall and the Grizzlies are 5-2 in District B-3 ahead of the regular seasonfinale at Prue on Friday night.
Quinton 20, Gore 19
QUINTON - Gore running back Jake Elyassin rushed for 224 yards, but Quinton held off the Pirates for a 20-19 win on Friday night at Savage Stadium.
Elyassin scored on runs of 14 and 25 yards and his second touchdown of the night pulled the Pirates within 20-19 with 4:44 left in the game.
Talon Bell scored the other Gore touchdown with a 14-yard reception from Trace Kizzia in the second quarter.
Gore slipped to 5-4 overall and 5-2 in District A-8, while Quinton improved to 4-5 and 3-4.
