A Fall Festival will be held by members of Trinity United Methodist Church at 1601 E. Shawntel Smith Blvd., just east of Muldrow, on U.S. Highway 64. The festival will run from 9:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and will include a bounce around and games for children, a yard sale, silent auction, bake sale, country store and more. Chili or stew will be available for lunch on Friday and Indian tacos will be available Friday evening. Brisket sandwiches will be available Saturday.
An All-You-Can-Eat Bean Dinner will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the Masonic Lodge No. 120 at 109 W. Redwood in Sallisaw, next to Sequoyah Memorial Hospital. The cost is $4 per person and the menu includes beans, cornbread, relishes, dessert and soft drinks. Proceeds will go to the scholarship fund, which provides scholarships for one senior from each of the Central, Sallisaw and Vian High Schools.
A Fall Carnival will be held at Cave Spring School from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The carnival will include games, door prizes and a silent auction on baskets. All proceeds will go to the elementary school Christmas fund.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 8384 in Muldrow will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday to benefit a heart patient and a cancer patient.

A Hog Fry Fundraiser Celebration will be sponsored by the Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Muldrow Park. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the event. All children's tickets will be $4. The meal, cooked in the park, will include hog meat, barbeque beans, fry bread, grape dumplings and a soft drink. Native American music will be played, a horseshoe pitch will be held, and Cherokee cultural demonstrations will be held. Door prizes will also be given away.

The Gore High School Future Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is celebrating the Oklahoma Centennial by selling engraved bricks for $25 each. The bricks will be used to build the Gore Schools Centennial Brick Plaza on the high school campus near the flagpole and marquee. All proceeds will go to the project. FCCLA members are managing the project but are not making money from it. The deadline to submit an order is Nov. 15, and orders should be brought to the high school office.

The Vian Baptist Church Youth Group is initiating a supply drive for military troops serving overseas. The church youths have begun writing letters to soldiers and plan to continue to do so with the holidays approaching. A donation box is inside the church to collect supplies, such as ChapStick, Visine, socks, hand warmers and any other items the community wishes to contribute. These will be sent out the first part of December to arrive before Christmas. The church is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to accept gifts.
