Sallisaw Businessman Plans Run For Commission Post

Jim Rogers of Sallisaw announced Thursday he will be a candidate for District 3 County Commissioner.

Rogers, 46, said he was born and raised in Sequoyah County and is a 1977 graduate of Sallisaw High School. He attended Connors State College in Warner and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

He is the son of Jim Rogers Sr. and Anona Long, and the grandson of the late Ollie and Beulah Rogers and the late Everett and Clara Long, all of whom were lifelong residents of the Sallisaw, Brushy, Marble City and Gans areas.
