The jury trial of a Gore man accused of sexually assaulting two young boys is set to begin Monday.

Kyle Waters, Sequoyah County assistant district attorney, said jury selection for the trial of Terry Gene Williams, 24, will start Monday morning.

Williams was bound over for trial after his Jan. 31 preliminary hearing. Williams was charged in September 2005 with four felony counts of first-degree rape and two counts of lewd molestation, according to court records.

The two victims in the case both testified at Williams' preliminary hearing.

The charges against Williams stem from a September 2005 incident. According to court records, the victims' mother told White that she walked into the bedroom of her two youngest sons, who were 8 and 9 years old at the time, to find her 15-year-old stepson in bed under the covers with her 9-year-old son.

The boys allegedly told their mother that their step-brother and Williams had been "messing with them."

During interviews with the juveniles, the boys described what Williams did to them. The boys told police that the alleged abuse took place at their home and in Webbers Falls.

After an experiment that lasted several months, the editors at Your TIMES decided this week to end the practice of allowing anonymous comments on our website because most of the comments involve personal attacks and unfounded accusations. These comments do not add information to a story, or add any true insight. While we believe in the free exchange of ideas, it had become evident that was not what was happening in the comment section of our website. Readers can also become fans of Your TIMES on Facebook and may comment on our postings there. Readers are also encouraged to write letters to the editor to the newspaper about matters of public interest. The newspaper circulation is several times that of the web site, so readership is much higher. Letters must include a name and phone number so that we may contact the writer to verify authenticity of the letter. Letters are limited to 500 words and one letter per writer per month is accepted.
