Justin Todd Rowe, 45, was charged Tuesday in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw.
According to court records, Deputy Shane McHale received a call at about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in reference to an argument between two men on U.S. Highway 64 east of Sallisaw. McHale reported that when he arrived on the scene, he asked Rowe, who was in his vehicle, what happened. Rowe allegedly told McHale that he and another man got into an argument and that he got in his vehicle and rammed the back of the other man's vehicle. The victim was reportedly inside the vehicle when the incident occurred.
McHale reported that the victim told him that he was on his way home when Rowe started yelling and cussing at him. He stopped to call the sheriff's office and was waiting on an officer when Rowe came down the road toward him with a club in his hand. At that time, the victim told McHale that he pulled further up the road to avoid Rowe. Rowe then allegedly got into his vehicle and rammed him, pushing the victim's vehicle down the road. The victim reported that his 9-year-old son was inside the vehicle with him during the incident.
