According to court records, Jerry D. Harl, 22, pleaded no contest on Sept. 25 to one count of assault and battery on a police officer and received a three-year deferred sentence and unsupervised probation. Harl was set to go to trial Oct. 19.
Harl was charged with four counts of assault and battery on a police officer stemming from a Sept. 6, 2003, incident in which Harl is accused of assaulting a Gans police officer, a trooper and a Sequoyah County Sheriff's deputy.
