Hugh Edgar Teague, 42, was charged with felony kidnapping, felony domestic abuse, and a misdemeanor charge of larceny.
According to a Roland police report, the victim came to the department and was upset and crying. She had a burn mark on her face and her left arm was red and swollen.
The victim told police that she arrived home at 11 a.m. from working all night. When she got home Teague allegedly began to yell and hit her. He then told her to get her stuff and get out. The victim reportedly told Teague that she would get her stuff and she wanted to leave because she was tired of him hitting her. Teague allegedly became more upset and would not let her leave the home.
The victim told police that Teague told her if she gave him money she could leave, but she refused to give him her ATM card. Teague then allegedly twisted her arm until she gave him her card. Teague then sent Chris Flower to take $250 from her bank account.
The victim reported that the physical abuse continued all day. Teague allegedly hit the victim in the head, and when she placed her arms over her head to protect herself, Teague allegedly bit her arms. She reported that he also threw a lit cigarette at her and hit her in the face.
The victim told police that she tried to leave the home, but Teague allegedly grabbed her and pulled her back inside the home.
When she had the chance to run away, the victim, wearing no shoes, left the home and ran in the rain down the road until someone picked her up and brought her to the police department.
Police also spoke to Flower, who told police that Teague gave him the identification number to retrieve money from the ATM.
Flower told police that he could hear physical fighting between the victim and the suspect, but said it was none of his business so he stayed in a different room.
