CROWDER - Britny Pittman poured in 27 points on Wednesday night to lead Class 2A fourth-ranked Oktaha to 69-57 semifinal win over Gore at the Crowder Invitational.

Pittman was 7-of-12 from the floor and 10-of-10 from the free throw line and also grabbed nine rebounds as the Lady Tigers handed Gore its first loss of the season.

The Lady Pirates, who beat Tushka in the first round of the tournament, got off to a strong start on Wednesday. Senior Chelsea Kizzia pumped in nine points to spark them to a 20-16 lead after eight minutes of play.

Oktaha fought back to grab a one-point lead by halftime and then opened up a 51-43 edge after three quarters.

Sophomore Kera Smith led Gore with 14 points and Kizzia finished with 13 plus a team-high five rebounds. Caitlin Cawhorn added eight and Kendra Smith six for the Lady Pirates (1-1).

Oktaha improved to 4-1 as two players joined Pittman in double figures. Julee Henderson had 16 points and Tiffany Tucker 13.

BOONEVILLE 60, GANS 43 (B)

ARKOMA - Booneville, Ark., broke the game open with a 17-6 run in the second quarter while dropping the Grizzlies into the consolation bracket of the Arkoma Tournament.

Gans (2-2) trailed by nine at the start of the second stanza, but the Bearcats took control by opening up a 38-18 lead by the break.

Nick Woodruff led Gans with a game-high 19 points and Kameron Pastore joined him double figures with 16.

OAKS 64, WEBBERS FALLS 31 (G)

BRAGGS - Oaks opened the game with a 25-8 run and went on to top the Lady Warriors in the first round of the Greenleaf Invitational.

Webbers Falls got a double-double from Kimmy Carter, who led the team with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Lauren Martin and Cassie Rhoden added five points apiece.

"We had 14 turnovers in the first quarter and, obviously, you can't do that," said Webbers Falls coach Mark Weatherton.

The Lady Warriors also struggled at the charity stripe, making just 15-of-35 attempts.

"We did a good job of taking it to the basket and getting fouled, we just couldn't put it in the hole," said Weatherton.

Oaks was led by Jamie Warren's 14 points and Talika Buzzard's 10.
