BRAGGS - Gore extended its undefeated start to the basketball season on Thursday as the Lady Pirates overcame an early deficit to defeat Porum 41-38 in the semifinals of the Greenleaf Invitational.

Gore improved to 3-0 and moved into the 7 p.m. Saturday championship game against the winner of Porter and Panama.

The Lady Pirates fell behind 11-0, but chipped away at the Porum lead until they finally went ahead in the fourth quarter. Kera Smith and Dena Qualls led the Gore comeback with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Porum 51, Gore 46 (B)

BRAGGS - The Pirates got 17 points from Devan Rineheart and 12 from Logan Andrews, but couldn’t get past Porum on Thursday in the semifinals of the Greenleaf Invitational.

Porum was paced by Jason Wixom’s 26 points while moving into Saturday’s final.

Webbers Falls 70, Braggs 48 (B)

BRAGGS - The Warriors posted a consolation round victory over Braggs at the Greenleaf Invitational as three players scored in double figures.

Dakota Shipley led Webbers Falls with a game-high 17 points while teammates Jacob Glad and Chad Dandridge dropped in 16 each.

Garett Kizzia and Juan Diaz led Braggs with 12 each.

Oaks 60, Webbers Falls 29 (G)

BRAGGS - The Lady Warriors dropped a consolation game at the Greenleaf Invitational despite 11 points from Emily James.

Oaks was led by 12 points from Jess Thompson.

Keota 46, Gans 43 (G)

ARKOMA - Keota hit six three-point shots in the second half to rally past the Lady Grizzlies and claim third-place on Thursday at the Arkoma Invitational.

Gans slipped to 3-2 on the season despite holding a 25-19 halftime edge. Keota came back with an 18-9 run in the third quarter to seize the lead.

Jessica Taylor led Gans with 15 points, while Becca Brannon added 10 and Cheynne Adams eight. Keota (2-1) was led by Jessika Nolen’s 14 points.

Keota 53, Gans 50 (B)

ARKOMA - The Grizzlies fell to Keota on Thursday in the third-place game of the Arkoma Invitational as Ethan Strain and E.J. Thomas both scored 12 points for the Lions.

Gans was led in scoring by Joe Brunk with 16, Mike Royal with 13 and Cody Gardenhire with 11.

Mansfield 39, Gans 37 (G)

ARKOMA - Mansfield, Ark., handed the Gans girls their first defeat of the season on Wednesday as Savanna Colbert dropped in 13 points and the game-winning shot in the semifinals of the Arkoma tournament.

The Lady Grizzlies (3-1) got double-figure scoring from Kaylee Kaewphonglek and Becca Brannon with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

County line 50, Gans 35 (B)

ARKOMA - No. 1 seed County Line, Ark., jumped out to a 13-0 lead while topping the Grizzlies in the Arkoma semifinals on Wednesday.

Chris Whitecotton paced the Indians with 13 points, while Gans’ top scorer was Joe Brunk with 13.
