Your TIMES to launch pack and ship service

In the wake of the local UPS distribution center closing its customer service counter earlier this month, Your TIMES is working to quickly set up a pack and ship business located inside its office at 111 N. Oak Street in Sallisaw, Jeff Mayo, Your TIMES publisher, said.

“We ship a lot of packages by UPS each week and we think there are a lot of other customers in Sallisaw that need a way to pack and ship here in Sallisaw,” Mayo said. “We plan to offer shipping through UPS, FedEx and USPS.

“We are ordering the shipping hardware and will be re-arranging our front office to accommodate a shipping counter,” Mayo said.

In addition to shipping services, Your TIMES will sell boxes and packing materials and any- thing else needed to quickly and efficiently ship your package.

“ This is a natural addition to our commercial printing and promotional products business,” Mayo said. “We have seen great growth in everything from banners to business cards. Packing and shipping will be a convenient addition.

“We have applications submitted to be set up as an authorized shipper, and hope to begin shipping packages with at least one carrier by mid-December,” Mayo said.

Your TIMES has been located at 111 N. Oak Street for over 90 years.
