Ranger ace attending MLB Combine next week in Phoenix
Roland Rangers senior pitching ace Carson Wiggins is slated to participate in next week’s Major League Baseball Combine, which will take place Monday through Wednesday in Phoenix.
Wiggins, a University of Arkansas signee and was a member of the 2024 Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Middle East All-State Team, went 3-2 this season with 93 strikeouts this season. When he pitched at home, which he mostly did, there were several MLB scouts in attendance with radar guns. In fact, in his pitching debate this season on March 12 at home vs. Spiro, 28 MLB scouts were in attendance. Wiggins’ older brother and Arkansas graduate Jaxon Wiggins was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2023 MLB Draft last July and later signed a contract with the organization, where he was assigned to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans from the ACL Cubs on June 4.
