Losing weight is a mental game

By Billie Anthony

Monday was a good day at the scales for TOPS 0737. We had a net loss of 12.6 pounds! Way to go members! Thirteen members were in attendance. I had the best weight loss for the week with 6.3 pounds gone. Cindy lost 6 pounds and Brenda lost 5.5 pounds. One of the members challenged the club to have a no gain meeting next week. I will be on a trip to Alaska so our new co-leader, Lynda, will take care of the chapter. Brenda won the Two Bit Bowl quarters. The Ladder contest ended today with Machell winning by reaching the top rung of the ladder. Three of our members met the challenge of drinking eight glasses of water a day for two months. Lynda had the best weight loss for July so she received a Happy Airplane pin. Six stickers were marked off for the Surprise Box. Next week will start the Lucky Lotto contest and also repeat the Ladder contest. Our Members were encouraged with so many winning several contests. Our challenge for this coming week will be to eat two veggies a day for three days. TOPS 0737 is on their way to getting healthy and they are encouraged.
