Sooners stumble in SEC debut

NORMAN — No. 15 Oklahoma dropped its first-ever Southeastern Conference game against No. 7 Tennessee by a score of 25-15 Saturday night at Owen Field.

The Sooners (3-1 overall, 0-1 in SEC play) held the Volunteers (4-0, 1-0) to 23 offensive points, nearly 40 points below their nation-leading season average of 63.7 points per game. OU also held Tennessee to 345 total offensive yards, 151 rushing yards and 194 passing yards, well below The Vols’ season averages of 639.3 total yards, 336....
