Black Diamonds well represented on All-District 4A-4 team
The Sallisaw Black Diamonds were well represented on the 2024 All-District 4A-4 Football Team that was announced right around the Thanksgiving Break.
The Black Diamonds, who finished the season at 9-3 and made it for the second straight season to the Class 4A state quarterfinals, had a whopping 26 members make the team in some capacity.
Quaid Girdner was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year in District 4A-4.
Making the first-team all-district were wide receiver Cooper Cox, offensive linemen Zyler Rogers and Cooper Carter, defensive linemen Kash Keepes, Caden Cowan and Hunter Smith, defensive backs Cole Mayfield and Tae Muskrat-Flynn, linebacker Jace Holman, place-kicker Brian Castor and “athletes” Broque Oft and Jackson Harris.
Quarterback Kase Adams, wide receiver Cooper Jackson, running back Kenyan Hill, offensive linemen Dawson Lamb and Dagan Grizzle, tight end Caden Blount, linebacker Noah Briley, punter Creed Nelson and special teams player Aiden Ruiz were named to the second-team all-district.
Making honorable mention all-district were wide receiver Caleb Hightower, linebackers Austin File and Rowdy Ward and defensive lineman Max Sparks.
