Sallisaw Takedown Club members do well at Brushy Christmas Brawl

It was a banner day at last Saturday’s Brushy Christmas Brawl for the Sallisaw Takedown Club.

All total, 20 members won titles, 10 more were runners-up and there were seven third-place finishers.

On the boys’ side, members in the age 15-and-younger division who took home gold were Mylz Oft (98 pounds), Tilden Gates (106), Tate Clawson (112), Max Linthicum (126), Talon Flynn (170) and Tukker Chase (heavyweight).

Toren Gates won the 84-pound weight class title in the age 12-andyounger division.

In the age 10-and-younger division, Kole Knoke (heavyweight) took first place, while Harbor Hicks did likewise at heavyweight in the age 8-and-younger division.

Gabriel Craighead (40 pounds), Finn Morse (49), Gatlen Ruminer (52) and Connor Carrington (60) all claimed championships in the age 6-and-younger division.

Elecktra Locust was a twochampion medalist as she claimed gold in the 200-pound weight class in the girls age 12-and-younger division and did likewise at 155– 180 pounds in the girls age 15-and-younger division.

Destiny Clarke was a two-medalist wrestler as she won the 102-pound title and was second at 110 pounds in the girls age 15-and-younger division.

Arlo Hatcher (57-58 pounds, age 6-andyounger division) and Sara Lee (82, 10-and-younger division) also took home championships.

In the age 15-andyounger division, Briar James was runner-up in both the 155- and 170-pound weight class, Hagan Compton was second at heavyweight and Jaxton Roth was third at 132.

Eli Matlock (61-64 pounds) and Hicks (120) were second and Clay Warner (100) and Kyler Douglas (61-64) were third in the age 10-andyounger division.

Coby Lynch was runnerup at 49 pounds in the age 8-and-younger division, while Dawson Smith (46 pounds) and Uriah Bolin (60) were second in the age 6-and-younger division.

On the girls’ side, Jade Coffman (51 pounds, girls age 8-and-younger division) and Ainsley Hatcher (37-40, girls age 6-and-younger) were runners-up, while Kovee Bolin (37-40, age 6-andyounger division) and Riley Bridges (115-125, age 12-and-younger division) were third.
