By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

McLOUD — The Sallisaw Lady Diamonds wrestling team competed in seven duals at last weekend’s Redskin Rumble Girls Dual Championship, going 2-5.

The 30-27 victory over Owasso in the opening dual of silver bracket play, helped coach Darrel Hume to a milestone as he got his 200th coaching win, all coming at Sallisaw.

The other win for the Lady Diamonds (2-7 in duals this season) came as they defeated Bartlesville 33-30, but lost 6618 to Harrah, 72-12 to Edmond North and 48-24 to Tecumseh — all in pool play — before losing 54-12 to Noble and 36-30 to Bartlesville in silver bracket duals.

In the win over Owasso, 155-pounder Emilie Robbins pinned her opponent in 24 seconds, while Hadlee McFarland (100 pounds), Paige Frederick (110), Bailie Hanshew (140) and Jamie Martin (heavyweight) all won by forfeit.

In the win over Bartlesville, McFarland, Hanshew, Robbins and Martin all won by forfeit, 115-pounder Mattie Schuh (2:51) won by pinfall and 190-pounder Lana Petree won by a 6-5 decision.

In the loss to Harrah, Schuh won by pinfall in 3:35, while Robbins and Martin each won by forfeit.

In the loss to Edmond North, Schuh (1:24) and McFarland (23 seconds) each won by pinfall.

In the loss to Tecumseh, Frederick (1:24) and Schuh (2:44) got pinfall wins, while Martin and Petree each won by forfeit.

In the loss to Noble, Hanshew and McFarland each won by forfeit.

In the loss to Bartlesville, Petree won by pinfall in 1:14, while Hanshew, Robbins, Martin and McFarland all won by forfeit.

After traveling Tuesday night to face Greenwood, Ark., in a dual, the Lady Diamonds will be in the 2025 Maverick Conference Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Poteau High School’s Paul Post Fieldhouse.
