Black Diamonds get road sweep over Gravette
GRAVETTE, Ark. — The Sallisaw High School soccer teams finally returned to action Tuesday night, and did so in royal fashion.
The Lady Diamonds blanked the Lady Lions 1-0, then the Black Diamonds tamed the Lions 8-2.
The only goal for the Lady Diamonds (4-1) came from Emilie Robbins. Jocelyn Rivera made two saves on the evening.

In the boys’ match, Wes Rodriguez had a hat trick with three goals, with Cesar Morales scoring twice and Sama Salinas, Brecken Hennessee and Dawson Upton each scoring once.
Mason Hardin made five saves, while Anthony Adame had three saves.
Both Sallisaw teams were slated to enter District 4A-4 play Thursday evening with home matches against Tulsa Victory Christian.
After that, the Lady Diamonds will visit district rival Tulsa Metro Christian at 6 p.m. Tuesday before both teams will entertain district rival Tulsa McLain next Friday with the Lady Diamonds playing at 5 p.m. and the Black Diamonds at 7 p.m.
