Announcements of upcoming events for nonprofit organizations and events in Sequoyah County may be delivered to Your TIMES in several different ways. They may be mailed to or hand delivered to Your TIMES at 111 N. Oak St. in Sallisaw. Events may be telephoned in by calling (918) 775-4433, or they may be emailed to news@seqcotimes. com or from a special form on Your TIMES website at www.sequoyahcountytimes.com.

The deadline for announcements for Wednesday’s edition is 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The deadline for announcements in Friday’s edition is 11 a.m. Thursday.

Your TIMES welcomes announcements and is pleased to publish them so that Sequoyah County residents can take advantage of the many activities occurring in the county.

Free crochet classes 2 to 4 p.m. at 3700 W. Cherokee Ave., Blue Ribbon Chapel, Sallisaw, with the Bizzy Beez. Classes held every Thursday. Marble City School Title VI Indian Education Parent Committee meeting, 8:15 a.m., school administration building. Meeting is to elect officers for Parent Committee and review items involved in 2025-2026 Indian Education Application. Meeting is open to the public.

SAT. APRIL 12

Roland Church of Christ annual Ladies Day event, register at 9:30 a.m., and program begins at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to all women. The theme will be “Building for Eternity: Lessons from Nehemiah.” A complimentary lunch will be served at noon. Guest speaker will be Rebecca Davis. Gore Schools Indian Ed Parent Committee Meeting, 5:30 p.m., in High School Conference Room, High School campus. One-quarter mile west of intersection of Hwy 100 and Hwy 10.

Take-out Dinner at the Bank, 4 to 6 p.m., Marble City. Entrée $12 per plate, “Breakfast for Dinner”, breakfast enchiladas (ham, eggs, potatoes, onions, bell pepper and cheese) with biscuits and gravy and choice of sausage or bacon, and choice of cinnamon roll or cranberry orange roll. Titles Parent Advisory Committee meetings are to review requirements, parental rights, activities and expenditures under Title I, II and VI Schoolwide Programs. Meeting is open to the public.

SAT. APRIL 19

Oklahoma Trash Off. ODOT’s signature event during the Great American Cleanup. Register at keepoklahomabeautiful. com, March 1 through May 31. Participants will receive free cleanup supplies, trash bags, safety vests, gloves and T-Shirts.
