Sallisaw names dog park in memory of Coachman

What was initially expected to be named simply the McGee Dog Park will now be named in memory of an 11-year-old Sallisaw Middle School student who recently died in a traffic accident involving the church van in which she was riding.

Sallisaw city commissioners at their monthly meeting Monday approved naming the new facility “Baylee Coachman Memorial Dog Park.”
