Former Vian player earns honor for freshman season at EOSC

Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player and current Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineer freshman Maisie Wells was one of 19 members of the EOSC softball team to be named a National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete.

To be eligible for the honor, players had to have at least a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.

Wells finished her freshman season with a batting average of .449 in 52 games for the Lady Mountaineers, who finished this past season at 31-21, to go with eight doubles, three triples, six home runs, 21 runs batted in and 48 runs scored.
