Saturday’s Fall Festival shines spotlight on ‘the heart of Sallisaw’

To hear Lance Montgomery set the stage previewing Saturday’s Sallisaw Main Street Fall Festival, you’d quickly surmise that the Hallmark Channel is missing out on the formula for which it is known: An old-fashioned, feel-good, family-friendly escape from reality. After all, what’s more heart-warming than a small-town annual autumn celebration as a backdrop to the wholesome offerings of chili, cars, crafts and crooning that are staples at the Fall Festival?
