Three local softball players make All-Region 4 Team

By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

Three local softball players, Sallisaw’s Sydney Weedon, Muldrow’s Jaydin Dean and Roland’s Addyson Clark, were named to the All-Region 4 Softball Team earlier this week.

Weedon and Dean, who were named to the All-District 4A-6 Team, and Clark, who was named to the All-District 3A-6 Team, now are in line to be selected as Oklahoma Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association East All-Staters for the All-State Games, which will take place June 13 at the Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts in Edmond.

All three players will do no worse than be East All-State alternates, and could be called up to replace an East All-Stater who is either unable to play or decides not to play in the June 13 contest.
