By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

VALLIANT — The Vian Wolverines left no doubt in the minds of those in attendance at Thursday night’s District 2AII-4 district title showdown with the host Valliant Bulldogs who the district champions would be.

The Wolverines (9-1 overall, 7-0 in district play) will open the Class 2A, Division II playoffs with a home game against the Keys Cougars (5-5), who finished fourth in District 2AII 3, at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John Stadium.
