Black Diamonds wrestlers place in Enid tournament

ENID — Several Sallisaw Black Diamonds wrestlers placed in the Mid-America Nationals, which took place Friday and Saturday at Stride Bank Center — the same site where the Black Diamonds competed in the 2024 Class 4A Dual State Tournament.

Hunter Smith was third at 215 pounds, Brody Mills (165) and Drew Simpson (190) were fifth and Morgan Duke (126) and Dawson Glover (144) were eighth.

Cash Mayfield went 5-3 at 150 pounds, Lucas McAllister went 3-3 at 113 and Tukker Flute went 2-4 at heavyweight.

The Black Diamonds will have their home-opening dual of the season against Greenwood, Ark., beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday at Paul Post Field House.
