Runnin’ Rangers calm OKC Storm in Cougar Classic
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Roland Runnin’ Rangers are entering the 2026 Sequoyah County Tournament, which will be Thursday through Saturday at Muldrow’s Roger Sharp Activity Center, on an eight-game winning streak to open the season.
The Runnin’ Rangers downed the Oklahoma City Storm 84-57 on Friday at the Cougar Classic, which took place at The New School.
The Runnin’ Rangers (8-0) jumped out to a 26-10 lead after a quarter en route to a 50-33 halftime advantage and a 68-41 lead going into the final period.
For the game, Damonte “Bubba” Owens scored a game-high 36 points to lead Roland, followed by Raidyn Knight with 21 points, Mason Kemp with 11 points, Kade Shook and Landon Fowler with six points each and Tae Smith and Bryson Myers with two points apiece.
