Food distribution

Volunteers at the First United Methodist Church and Kibois hand out food during a monthly food distribution. Each month, Kibois distributes tickets to indi viduals or families who then pick up the food on a designated day. For more information contact the First United Methodist Church of Kibois.

Miss Carl Albert serves area schools, prepares for Miss Oklahoma

Maci Crandell, the reigning Miss Carl Albert, has had a busy few weeks! Crandell has been busy serving area schools and preparing for the upcoming Miss Oklahoma Competition. Most recently, Crandell participated in Read Across America Week. During the week of March 2-6, she was a guest reader at Monroe, Poteau, Heavener, and Cameron schools. Crandell read a different Dr. Seuss book at each school, then shared with the students her experience as Miss CASC, shared information about her Social Impact Initiative: ALICE Training, and also answered fun questions from the students like “does she sleep in her crown, or does she live in a castle?” Crandell is also diligently preparing for the upcom
