Madilynn Cate ‘Madi-Cate’ Morland

Services for Madilynn Cate “Madi-Cate” Moreland, 6, of Muldrow, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Service Inc.

She was born on May 31, 2012, in Tahlequah, the daughter of Tranesa Lee-Anne (Lowder) Moreland and Paul Henry Moreland. She passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in Tulsa.

Madie-Cate was a first grade student at Liberty Elementary School. She loved basketball, ballet, fishing, school and Shopkins. She was her momma’s baby and her daddy’s princess.

Survivors are her parents, Tranesa and Paul “Shorty” Moreland; brother, Kyle Moreland and wife, Whitney of Sallisaw; two sisters, Tracey Tippetts and fiancé, Keifer Lang of Muldrow and Jenna Duty and companion, Jesse Young of Muldrow; niece, Kopelynn Lang of Muldrow; her extra special “Jinger” Martha Tippets Olsen of Muldrow; her four-legged companions, Rose and Karlee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Hannah Moreland; and grandmothers, Darla Lowder and Cathy Hyatt.

Active pallbearers will be Tommy Sessums, David Goode, Buddy Harmon, Don Hyatt, Rocky Woods Jr. and Roger Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Marr, Greg Peters, Michael Stout, Todd Pennington, Eugene Moreland, Keifer Lang, Jesse Young and all fellow students and staff at Liberty Public School.

Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow. The family will greet from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
