Margie Pearl Taylor ‘Granny’ Dean
Funeral services for Margie Pearl Taylor “Granny” Dean, 88, of Roland, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Burial will be at Long Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dean was born on July 18, 1932, in Bearden to Opal Marie (Goodwin) Smith. She died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was retired as an inspector at Whirlpool Corp., a former Sunday school teacher and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Dahl and David of Kodiak, Alaska, Charlotte White and C.L. of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Debra Whisenhunt and Jerry of Muldrow; one son, Tyrone Floyd of Muldrow; one sister, Claudia Morton of Cleveland, Okla.; one brother, Alfred Smith of Tulsa; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.K. Smith and Opal Marie Smith; one son, Kenneth Taylor; two brothers, Eric Jones and Tommy Jones; and three sisters, Flo Bernard, Maurita Channon and Virginia Mae Smith.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Whisenhunt Jr., Scott Smith, Tyrone Taylor II, Ronnie Owens, Treyton Kibbee and Melissa Taylor.
Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow..
